Year 3 Visit From A Nutritionist20-04-2018 | 14:48:23 | Comments Off on Year 3 Visit From A Nutritionist

We had an interesting visit from a nutritionist. We talked about the different food groups, then we made a smoothie using an exercise bike with a food mixer attachment! It was fantastic fun. What do you think?

It was so hard to choose the writer of the week so I chose 2!  Lola wrote an exceptional piece of writing based on the setting of our story – A Plot on the Pyramid.  Well done!

Corbett Maths 5-a-day19-04-2018 | 12:43:48 | Comments Off on Corbett Maths 5-a-day

A few pupils and parents have been asking about additional practice questions that they can work at home.

If you are interested in a few extra practice questions, particularly in the run up to the tests, you should check out Corbett Maths 5-a-day, a free online maths resource.

There are four sets of 5 questions for every single day of the year. The bronze sets are the easiest questions and each set thereafter gets progressively harder. The majority of pupils will find the gold and platinum sets most useful as they tackle the trickier aspects of the KS2 curriculum.

I especially like the fact that they are in groups of 5 questions meaning it can be done as a short, sharp and snappy activity when required. All sets also come with answers.

Wonderful Water Assembly18-04-2018 | 11:36:34 | Comments Off on Wonderful Water Assembly

Severn Trent came in today to do a special assembly for KS2 helping us to learn about our water cycle. It was interesting to discover what happens to our water after it goes down our drains. Hopefully we will all remember that only the 3P’s should go down the toilet!
