Will you like me?21-03-2019 | 14:30:27 | 2 Comments

Today, the pupils in Year 5 & 6 have been working with the Music Plus Trust on a very exciting project entitled ‘Will you ‘like’ me?’

The project looked at social media and ways in which it can impact our children. Recently, the Children’s Commissioner highlighted the importance of helping our children learn about these issues.

This morning, all the children have learned three songs, teaching them about social media and it’s affect on their emotions and wellbeing. This afternoon, we recorded the three songs and are now preparing to hold a celebration assembly at the end of the day, where the songs will be performed and we will talk about what we have learnt. MP3s of the children’s recording will be available to download for FREE soon after the project ends.

Yesterday, we made use of yet more mud to create sculptures. We had to mix soil with water to achieve the right consistency and then we added twigs, leaves, grass, pebbles and moss to add detail to our work. It was certainly a muddy afternoon 🙂
