Reverend Steve’s Great Glen Challenge02-07-2019 | 08:47:41 | 1 Comment

Thank you to all of those who have sent in donations to support Steve in his Great Glen Challenge.  He is raising funds for North Staffs Mind.  Here is an update on how it is going so far.

If you would like to support Steve with sponsorship, details are below: http://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Parker32?utm_id=121

Alternatively, donations can be sent into school – If every child could donate £1, we could give almost £500 towards Steve’s mission.

Saturday 29th June

The journey begins at Stoke Railway Station at 6.45 a.m.

A long day on three trains to get to our start point (over 9 hours). Plenty of conversations including a mother and daughter from Norway.

Got to Fort William at 4.20pm and cracked on with our first stage to Gairlochy. 10 miles done and dusted by 8pm. Put the tents up in the rain, which means midges, hundreds of them. It’s been lovely up to this point. Tea was nice and hot, veg chilli and a cuppa before bed at 9.50pm.

Sunday 30th June

A wet and windy night under canvas. Warm and cosy though. Ready to pack up and embrace day 2 when it stops raining.
